Lord’s Cricket Ground is set to benefit from a £52 million pound redevelopment programme, following a decision to a approve an application from the MCC to replace two stands.

The plans will see The Compton and Edrich stands at the Nursery End of the London ground be replaced with new three-tier stands, taking the capacity up by 2,500 to 31,000.

Construction is due to start on 24th August, with the new seating available from 2020 and the wider scheme due for completion by summer 2021.

All the facilities are due to be finished by summer 2021.
